One of the primary indices of a culture, food offers a rich avenue for interpreting any culture. The cuisine and culinary habits of a region depicts rich information about how a region has flourished over time. 'Gomantak Jevom' attempts to study the culinary system and structure of the Goan cuisine. It was done as a classroom project over 6 weeks. It traces the evolution of goa with food as the protagonist, how foreign forces, religion and daily lives of people were shaped by the food consumed there.
