Marina Abramović is a serbian performance artist, self–proclaimed the grandmother of performance. The supplement is a short biography that was designed inspired on her exhibition, "The Artist is Present", that took place at the MoMA in New York back in 2010. This performance retrospective traces the career of Abramović connecting over four decades of her early interventions and sound pieces, video works, installations, photographs, solo performances, and collaborative performances.
