The Escapade is a personal illustration inspired from the life of bookworms. The art portrays the escape of a reader from reality through a book and experiencing adventures all through the mind. The elements of the artwork are inspired from popular fairytales plus young adult and fantasy novels. The art is a composition of both line art and digital painting depicting imagination from reality.

The beanstalk was from the story of "Jack and the Beanstalk" while the castle from various princess fairytales (Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White) and especially from the Castle in the Sky (Studio Ghibli). The shooting star was an inspiration from Neil Gaiman's "Stardust" novel and the 2007 book-to-movie adaptation by Director Matthew Vaughn.

The flying car was inspired from the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets book by J.K. Rowling (The Flying Ford Anglia). The dragon on its left side came from the idea of the Eragon novel by Christopher Paolini and from the popular animated movie "How to Train your Dragon". It's silhouette on the moon was mainly based on Steven Spielberg's E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial film (1982) while the two stars on the right were from J.M. Barrie's "Peter Pan" following the famous quote of "Second star to the right and straight on 'till morning".

The large oak tree with a noose was based on the hanging tree song from Suzanne Collins' "Mockingjay". And the direction signages were based on Lewis Caroll's "Alice in Wonderland" story from the scene of the Cheshire Cat.

The Pirate ship is once again based from J.M. Barrie's "Peter Pan", and also from Walt Disney's Pirates of the Carribbean film series by Jerry Bruckheimer. The giant whale jumping out of the ocean is from the story of Moby-Dick by Herman Melville.

The fish bowl pouring out the ocean was a derived idea from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis where a painting of a majestic ship on the ocean comes to life and draws the characters Lucy, Edmund, and Eustace directly to the ocean.
