EatTogether is a digital product that aims to bring people of diverse backgrounds together through sharing a casual meal/drink at a restaurant/café. By selecting their desired restaurant of choice, users will dine with other people who have chosen the same place and table. Diners will meet in person rather than online to avoid pre-selection based on appearances in order to foster an open-minded and safe space. Our main goal for this project is to introduce a new way of meeting people while preventing predisposed judgments and expectations from others. This project was done over a 12-week period, where our team met twice a week to brainstorm and make adjustments towards the final product. The process in which we came to our final product can be summarized in four steps: ideation, prototyping, user testing, and revisions. In each step of the process, we shared our ideas with people of the target audience to determine the usability of the product in the real world.
