An Ant's Life is a virtual reality storytelling world that uses the Oculus Rift and PS Move to immerse the guest in a rainy day from the point of view of an ant. The guest uses the PS Move to dodge obstacles and control a leaf raft, which is a physical prop that is reflected in the virtual Oculus Rift world. This project was created by graduate students at Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center and selected for showcase at the Building Virtual Worlds Festival.

An Ant’s Life is a storytelling world for Oculus Rift and PS Move that combines virtual reality with physical props to immerse the guest in the role of an ant returning to the ant hill in the rain.   Using 2D art in a 3D virtual world, distorted sound effects, perspective drawings and immersive gameplay and design, we wanted to make the guest feel small and experience a rainy day from the point of view of an ant.  Created by graduate students at Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center, this world was showcased at the Building Virtual Worlds Festival.
