For Contemporary Design Theory, we were tasked to design a fictional mobile app for an outdoor activity of our choice. We had to make sure to include infographics to show how information is being tracked in the app. After a few consultations with my instructor, I focused on designing an app for bird watching because I felt there aren't many apps that are readily available for this particular activity. I wanted to make sure that the design is rich and vibrant in colour, and also user-friendly and intuitive with features that I myself would want to use. The result is a mobile app UI Design called "Beak", aimed to enhance the bird watching experience for people ages 23-46. A few main features include a personalized profile, bird information database, audio recording for unique bird identification, external weather application and a GPS locator.
