Organic and inorganic icons

A number of icons related to organic and inorganic waste, originally used for a school activity for garbage containers.

For a school activity, I made icons for organic and inorganic garbage containers. The original assignment was using specific graphic solutions to distinguish the two containers.

In general, this little project communicates in a literal way, organic and inorganic waste. It's a series of icons of various elements that are considered organic and inorganic trash respectively, it instructs people what they can throw away in which container.

It was primarily for classwork but I found the icons in the final result very pleasing and maybe useful for something else apart from the specific assignment.

There is a specific chromatic range applied to each category, in this case, the organic waste has four warm colors while the inorganic waste has mainly 3 and emanates a colder color sensation.

*Evert icon has three points, this works as a personal mark and distinction.*
