Seattle Housing Infographic Mailer

Housing is one of Seattle's most pressing issues right now. For a multitude of reasons, including explosive population growth and outdated zoning laws, housing prices are sky-high. Fortunately, Seattle city council has a new plan, Mandatory Housing Affordability (MHA), to encourage affordable development going forward. Many citizens are against or uninformed about the policies, making it difficult to implement city-wide. This infographic mailer seeks to explain and garner support for MHA.

This project focused on gathering and presenting data/information in an engaging way.
The infographic ideally would be sent to citizens of each neighborhood as a mailer.
The mailer folds out so that readers will experience information in a specific order.
Every inch of the mailer is used for something; the inside folds out into a large illustrative map of the Ballard neighborhood.
By visualizing Ballard's past and future development opportunities in a fun way, the topic becomes more understandable and manageable.
