My graduation project deals with the topic of virtual embodiment and the question whether and how we exist while moving in cyberspace. The result shows twelve digitalized fragments of a physical body, placed in an infinite virtual space. Those parts symbolize both the fusion of the virtual and the real as well as the digital traces that we leave behind in the virtual space everyday. The video work Traces of a Virtual Body is a virtual exhibition of the generated 3D objects whereas the book shows all objects and the data they are made of to visualize the fact that they are actually just empty shells.
