National Spelling Bee
Assignment Brief: Create a poster advertising the National Spelling Bee.
Your design should be built around an illustration of your own creation working within the stylistic parameters we set in our discussion of Polish illustrator Dawid Ryski and Italian illustrator and designer, Philip Giordano per the samples on my Pinterest board.
The primary imagery of the poster must meet the following criteria:
1 - It must be based primarily on the image of a bee
2 - It must interpret any one of the winning words from the 90 years of the competition. The list can be found here <http://spellingbee.com/champions-and-their-winning-words>
Concept: The chosen word was torsion, which means "the action of twisting or the state of being twisted." The Illustration is based on a real situation where a clown is twisting a balloon in the form of a bee, and the clown's position is exaggerated to imitate the twisted form of the balloon.
