This small body of work was accumulated by photographing 4 significant blizzards Toronto endured throughout the 2019 winter season; a timespan that brought record-breaking amounts of snow into Southern Ontario. The 10 images featured in this collection were captured from many different neighbourhoods, with a goal of collecting a diverse visual representation of how snowfall impacted the different environments and people across the city. My 2 personal rules while photographing this series was to stay out of the Downtown core as often as possible, and to only take photos while the snow was still falling. Enhancements or manipulations made to the photos were completed in Photoshop and Lightroom, and the edits were completed to the photographs so a realistic but emphasized representation of the frigid city could be established through the different colours, textures and geometries.
