Humanizing a tragedy affecting illegal immigrants today. Four, attempts to provide a clear-eyed, detailed lens for a subject many people see only as a headline. Turning a polarizing policy debate into a discussion about people, asking questions about our "American" identity - what that means, and who should be allowed to claim it. We want it to activate someone to mobilize themselves and to work toward creating change and sparking awareness.
Stretching out climatic moments through tactile visuals. Macro shots cut back ans forth between past memories of her mother to her present suffering. Moments lead to the feeling of anticipation and leave the audience to understand the narrative for themselves.
