Every student can apply for a portfolio review or a mentorship with an industry professional.
Submit a project to the 2016 ADAA contest and you may be chosen by one of our mentors to participate to the
Adobe ico-D Mentorship Program.
The mentors are accomplished creative professionals from ico-D and Adobe's global network. They are passionate about launching the careers of the next generation.
If a mentor likes your work, you may be chosen for a portfolio review or mentorship, regardless of whether your project is selected for placement in the ADAA contest. Mentors can offer you portfolio and career guidance and may even give you opportunities to collaborate on projects.
The portfolio review provides advice and feedback from a Mentor about your work.
The mentorship: consists of 5 one-on-one virtual sessions based on 5 predetermined objectives over 5 months.

What was the most useful thing that happened during your mentorship? What did you really get out of working closely with a creative pro on your projects?
Peter: The most useful thing that happened during my mentorship was the experience of doing critiques and group meetings online or over the phone. Working remotely is a new experience for me and is definitely integral for freelance designers in today's industry. Working with Lilit exposed me to a lot of her knowledge on the roots of design trends and various designers to research for unique inspiration.
Tell us about your project collaboration, what did you learn or how did you benefit?
Peter: I feel that I really benefited from this project because it taught me a lot about working remotely with other team members. Team management and collaborative critiques are very different in digital space when you're used to interacting with your team face to face. Overall, I think this project has better prepared me for future collaborations through digital media.
